As the founder of ASPIRE Single Parent Network, I’m excited to share some big news: we’ve officially launched! We just released our press statement, and I want to take a moment to personally reflect on why this matters so much and what we’re aiming to accomplish.

For too long, hardworking single parents have been caught in a frustrating gap. You’re making enough to disqualify for government assistance but not enough to comfortably cover rent, childcare, and everything else life throws your way. That’s a reality I know intimately—I’ve lived it.

The press release details the financial challenges many single parents face in Texas, like how the average income of $42,000 annually barely stretches to cover basic needs. Rent, childcare, and other expenses quickly pile up, leaving parents with little breathing room. Even worse, many of these parents earn just over the limit for assistance programs like food stamps, leaving them with limited options.

That’s why I created ASPIRE—to be the help I once needed. This organization is about filling the gap for single parents who work tirelessly but often feel unsupported. Through holiday and back-to-school programs, career coaching, and webinars, ASPIRE is here to offer both immediate relief and long-term empowerment.

In our press release, I shared how personal this mission is for me. As a single mom, I understand the constant juggling act of parenting, working, and trying to build a better future. With ASPIRE, I hope to make that journey a little easier for other parents.

This is just the beginning of what we hope to accomplish. If you’re a single parent looking for support—or someone who wants to make a difference in the lives of hardworking families—I encourage you to learn more about ASPIRE.
